What is Mentoring?
Mentoring is a structured guidance system where experienced epidemiologists support FETP residents in developing practical field epidemiology skills.
The Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) follows a “learning by doing” approach, with 75% field-based training and 25% classroom learning. Mentors guide residents in key activities such as surveillance data analysis, surveillance system evaluation, outbreak investigation, disaster response, and scientific publication.
This mentorship program connects technical experts with FETP residents to strengthen skills through professional guidance and real-world experience.
